A Perfect Day at the Congress
The day started at 7:00AM setting up the exhibit at City Hall. The table was busy from that moment on. The location of the MMLA exhibit was in the City Hall rotunda. A perfect location in which to see everyone who came to the Congress.
We would like to thank Cindy Cleghorn for her patience and endurance. The Congress was a huge success for MMLA and the Neighborhood Council leadership and stakeholders from all overLos Angeles.

There are 98 Neighborhood Councils. The marketing team of Lisa Herbert, LeRoy Downs, and Rebecca Hogan along with Executive Committee member Iris Gordy and board member Maurice Carrier worked the room. The attendee’s loved our table. We had people lined up and waiting to have a conversation. We received 40 requests for a full MMLA presentation. The first appointment is with ParkMesaHeightson Tuesday, October 11th.
The marketing team is busy scheduling more appointments that will take us into the holidays.
A thank you goes out to Mykesha Robinson, consultant to the MMLA board for her tireless energy, creativity and for introducing us to Auther Perdue who created the MMLA logo and is developing our website.
Mykesha and Dorsay were also interviewed by LA City television channel 35.
A huge thank you to Fran Curbello, of METRO for working with us. We would like to connect neighborhoods with the visual and performing arts, and no better way to see a neighborhood than by taking a bus or train.
