THE SANTA MONICA ROCK BAND
The SMMC Youth Rock Band is a group of young musicians comprising 100% of Santa Monica Music Center Students who are taking their skills to the next level by playing the classics! The band rehearses weekly and play's monthly gigs around the community - the last one was at the Santa Monica Pier! Led by band director Martin Purtill, the group is open for auditions year-round and expanding to different groups for all ages.
memsi
mesmi is a trailblazer in music—an artist who also produces/engineers, she believes in uplifting her fellow female, AAPI & POC communities. After achieving placements in competitions like the International Songwriting Competition and GRAMMY Amplifier, mesmi most recently released her album "Slow Bloom," which the press described as "powerful, epic, yet fragile and beautiful" from a "rare voice, immense storyteller, music creator and vocalist." A self-produced/engineered project released during COVID, the LP has racked up 200K+ plays on streaming worldwide. Constantly growing, mesmi's skills have expanded from her singer/songwriter origins into music recording, and she is currently being mentored by producer 9th Wonder (Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar, Erykah Badu) through Sophia Chang's Unlock Her Potential program. In all her work, mesmi hopes to create in ways that are authentic, daring and illuminating, and to further connection through the power of community, culture, music and the arts.
Arthur AUTUMN
ArthurAutumn, aka Brent A. Nuffer, is a prolific Musician/Artist & Entrepreneur, native to Michigan, now living in Los Angeles, Ca. He has written, recorded and released several Albums both as a solo Artist and with bands, most notably with BARBARIAN OVERLORDS. He founded The Sunday Night Revue, a monthly residency held at Hotel Café in Los Angeles, which focuses on creating a sense of community among Musicians and Songwriters. Early 2022, Brent founded the ELECTRIC MOON Foundation, a nonprofit organization passionate and dedicated to sharing the healing powers of Music & Art and to help ensure that it is accessible to everyone. Their primary work consists of providing Music Education, Instruments, Scholarships, Mentoring, Anti bullying programs and trauma related therapies using the Arts as a form of healing. Chiara Galiazzo
Chiara Galiazzo rose to prominence winning the music television competition X Factor 2012 under the guidance of Morgan. She presented the unpublished “Due respiri” written by Eros Ramazzotti and Luca Chiaravalli.

Tom Nolan is a singer-songwriter whose band, TNB has been playing on the Westside for over thirty years. He has a new record called “Workin’ It!” That you can find on all streaming services.
Daveed Macias
Daveed is a Mexican American, Independent Musician from Southern California. Best known for his energetic performances filled with intricate guitar rhythms and bilingual lyrics. Influenced by bands like Manu Chao, Gogol Bordello and Rodrigo Y Gabriella, Daveed has developed a sound and style that is both infectious and joyful. Daveed can be seen performing solo or with a band, each offering a unique performance. Daveed’s involvement in the music industry has granted him the opportunity to perform alongside Los Lobos, Damian Marley, Steel Pulse, Ozomatli, and Robby Krieger of The Doors. Daveed has also performed at Coachella Music Festival, Desert Oasis Music Festival, and Joshua Tree Music Festival.
Rayssa
Rayssa fuses iconic pop, illustrious EDM, and electrifying rock guitars to create a uniquely mind-bending sound. She has performed at numerous award shows and festivals with top pop artists, including Demi Lovato, Childish Gambino, Nick Jonas, and Christina Aguilera. From pre-production to release, her music is entirely her own - she composes, writes, records, plays, and produces her own tracks! Her rich vocals and poignant lyrics speak to the depths of the human psyche, tapping into one's inner person and healing the scars within. Working heavily with numerous suicide prevention efforts, including To Write Love on Her Arms, Rayssa aims to tell people they matter through music that matters. She's also part of a Los Angeles based worship artist collective, The Royalty Collective. When she's not in the studio or on-stage, Rayssa spends her free time surfing and going to Disneyland!
Turquoise Sulk
Hailing from the northeast LA communities of Lincoln Heights and El Sereno, Turquoise Sulk is the brainchild of the Punk Rock/Jazz bassist Jon G. and classic rock guitarist Julian Martinez. Bringing aboard the adept multi-genre drummer Adrian Mendoza, the trio’s music quickly evolved from its Latin Jazz roots, fusing R & B and soul with smooth jazz and blues stylings, while staying true to their rock foundations. Turquoise Sulk is the ultimate fusion of soothing grooves and captivating rhythms.
Emily Zuzik
Emily Zuzik, L.A.-based Americana singer-songwriter, has planted her musical roots in an eclectic blend of alt-country, modern, rhythm & blues and rock music. She brings to her songs a woman’s vulnerability and strength in the tradition of Patsy Cline and Sheryl Crow. Over the years, she's written and performed with Blue Man Group, Jim Lauderdale, Keith Carlock, Tim Lefebvre, The Album Leaf, Dan Navarro, Geoff Pearlman, Grant Langston and Ted Russell Kamp. Emily is also the singer/lyricist for synth band, Woves, with Josh Ricchio and Kolby Wade. In the electronic genre, she's been an active collaborator with others such as Moby, Enchanted Kids (India), SP84 (Russia), Betamax Dub Machine (Toronto/US), Synth Lovers Cafe (UK), Solid Stone (Toronto) and more.

SŌNN
SŌNN is a 21 year singer/songwriter based in South Africa. He was exposed to the world of music from birth and started singing from the moment he could speak. Music was etched into every aspect of his world which naturally lead to his discovery of musical knowledge. He desired to learn all there was to know about music, including the knowledge of how to play almost every instrument in existence. His quest for musical skill and knowledge started at the age of 9 when he learned to play drums. The momentum built from this particular year, propelled him to learn other instruments such as the guitar and piano. He has covered a wide range of popular songs. Providing vocal arrangement for each cover as well as creating original musical interpretations of existing songs. This year he decided to apply all of the knowledge he has accumulated so far and release his first single titled, “All Of You”.
Elin Wolf
Elin Wolf is a singer and songwriter who has traveled the world bringing the Swedish melancholia and love of nature to her music. She finds her inspiration through personal experiences and Nordic mythology. For Wolf music is therapy, a way to empower herself and the listener to find their way in life. Wolf grew up on a small Island in Sweden. She had music pumping through her veins since she was young sitting on her dad's lap playing piano. With Wolf’s dad being a former Hammond organ player in the progressive rock band “Motvind” and with her producer second cousin, Max Martin, music flows through her blood. Since arriving in LA, Wolf has played at The Mint, Rainbow Bar, Troubadour, The Viper Room etc. Before moving to LA, she performed at the prestigious music festival - Way Out West In Gothenburg, toured Eastern Europe, performed at Swedish National Radio 4 and at Volvo Car events in Beijing.
Michael Whitehorse AVILES
Michael Whitehorse Aviles, Born at San Fernando Calif., member and elder of the Gabrieleno Tongva San Gabriel Band of Mission Indians, a descendent of the California Mission System established by Spain in the 1700’s. I am also a descendant of the Southern Piaute and Western Shoshoni People of the Mojave River, In the Mohave Desert near what is now Victorville California. My family were part of the govt., boarding school system which was designed to assimilate the Native Americans to non Native ways and traditions at Sherman Indian Institute Riverside California. For the last two years, I have been working as a Tribal Monitor who oversees construction sites that require deep digging, to look for ancestral remains and artifacts. In service, I am a Vietnam era Veteran of the United States Air Force, and Veteran of the California Air National Guard. For all of my life, I have always been involved in the arts, musician, photographer, graphic design, (owner M.A.Art Works Screen Printing.

Dellow is a Berklee College of Music trained songwriter and folk musician, with heartfelt original music akin to Dawes and The Avett Brothers.”
Ben Tran
Ben Tran is a singer-songwriter born in Vietnam who moved to Orange County in 2008. He moved to LA to study at Musicians Institute to work on his music career. Ben has been singing for 8 years now, and playing keys for 5 years. His main genre of music is pop ballad. He also really loves worship music. Ben was raised by a very talented family; his mom is a famous Vietnamese singer. He gets his love for music from her.
Students
School of Rock (SOR) operates year round, offering a variety of programs. During the school year, they function as a music program for home-schooled children and as an after-school music program, and during summer, winter and spring breaks, they offer week long day camps for intensive instruction, culminating with, of course, a show for their friends and family! Symphonic Jazz Orchestra
Debuting in 2002, the 68-member Symphonic Jazz Orchestra (SJO) is a unique hybrid ensemble dedicated to blending the worlds of jazz and classical music. The ensemble has performed throughout Southern California at such venues as the Richard & Karen Carpenter Performing Arts Center, Royce Hall (UCLA), Walt Disney Theater (CalArts) and Marsee Auditorium. The SJO’s acclaimed recording “Looking Forward, Looking Back” includes two commissioned works by George Duke and Lee Ritenour, along with George Gershwin’s classic “Rhapsody in Blue.” Hosted by SJO music director Mitch Glickman, the SJO’s radio series “Beyond Symphonic Jazz” on America’s #1 jazz station KJAZZ 88.1 FM, reaches an international audience each week.
